De nog piepjonge KUROKAWA trad al eerder op samen met grote namen zoals SAKAMOTO Ryuichi en Sketch Show op het bekende SONAR festival. Zijn audiovisuele optredens zijn uniek en worden gekenmerkt door technische perfectie en subtiliteit in beeld en geluid. Het enige Nederlandse optreden van deze tour!
KUROKAWA Ryoichi is an audiovisual artist living in Osaka (*1978). His work takes on multiple forms including screenings, recordings, installations, and live performances. KUROKAWA composes time-based sculptures with digitally generated material and field recorded sources, where the minimal and the complex coexist. He considers sound and imagery holistically to construct exquisite, and precise, computer based compositions, all in his very own audiovisual language.
Since 1999 KUROKAWA has built up his live reputation at various art, music and film festivals. He performed live-visuals for SKETCH SHOW (ex.YMO, HOSONO Haruomi + TAKAHASHI Yukihiro) at SONAR 2003 [S] and Cybersonica/ICA [UK], and for HUMAN AUDIO SPONGE (SKETCH SHOW + SAKAMOTO Ryuichi) at SONAR 2004 [S].
CAMERA JAPAN is very proud to present a unique artist and his only live-performance in the Netherlands on this tour.
