AOKIs laatste werk 'Parabolica' is een IDM-statement dat ingenieus ontwikkeld is en tegelijk de dansvloer inneemt.
The Mille Plateaux empire of clicks may have folded, but there are still some daring producers coming up with those glacial and glitching soundscapes. At the forefront of Japans laptop-producers is Aoki Takamasa who expanded the genre´s limits with his last album 'Simply Funk', a hyperactive version of glitch-funk you would have expected from the likes of Atom TM or SND. Now he´s back with 'Parabolica', an IDM-statement that is intricately designed and taking the dancefloor at the same time.
