Op deze bijzondere lokatie op de Witte de Withstraat zullen Japanse en westerse artiesten gedurende een week een kunstwerk tonen welke speciaal gemaakt is voor deze ruimte. Wij hebben 5 japanse, en 5 westerse artiesten uitgenodigd die in hun werk/ leven zijn gefascineerd door de andere cultuur. Er zullen elke week om 20.00 persoonlijke openingetjes worden georganiseerd door de artiest zelf. In de openings en sluitings week word 'De Aanschouw' omgetoverd tot een klein openlucht theater waarin we Japanse films tonen.
In this tiny exhibition space at the Aanschouw, Japanese and western artists show a work that they have made especially for this event. To present the synergy of two cultures, we invited five Japanese and five western artists who are inspired by each other's culture. Each artist is given a one-week exhibition with cosy opening/ closing parties every Friday at 8pm. In the first and last weeks of this event 'de Aanschouw' will be transformed into a small open air cinema in which will be shown Japanese films.

U krijgt nog een kans om de werken uit de serie 'Relay' te Aanschouwen, deze keer in een andere omgeving en een andere samenstelling.
We zullen de werken in de hedendaagse tentoonstellingsruimte van het Sieboldhuis presenteren. Elke week word er een werk aan toegevoegd todat de serie compleet is. Dit is de enigste kans om de hele serie naast elkaar gepresenteerd te bekijken.

The works will be presented in the contemporary art space of Sieboldhuis Every week one work will be added until the series is completed in the last week. This is a special chance to see the whole series together.
