CAMERA JAPAN Poster wins AdPrint Festival award!
18-02-2009

We are pleased to announce that the CAMERA JAPAN 2008 poster has won a prize at the prestigious advertising/design competition 'AdPrint
Festival'. It took place for the 10th year, this time in Romania and
our poster was awarded in the ART, CULTURE, MEDIA & ENTERTAINMENT
category. To actually receive an award came as a huge surprise to us,
considering the fact that almost all other winners and nominees are
big and renown European agencies with plenty of budget. Our big 'domo
arigato' goes to Yamada-kun for shooting such an amazing photo!

CAMERA JAPAN FESTIVAL 2008: AMSTERDAM
02-10-08
Also in Amsterdam we noticed a steep increase in the number of visitors to our festival. Big Domo Arigato goes to the Kriterion team and the friends at Melkweg for helping us make the third edition of CAMERA JAPAN Amsterdam a great success. We hope to continue this for many years to come. We also would like to thank all the people who came up to us with their kind words of encouragements and interesting suggestions for future editions.

CAMERA JAPAN 2008 Rotterdam - FUJIMOTO Sou Lecture@NAi
25-09-2008
Photos: © Moritz BernoullyThe first architectural event organized in collaboration of NAi and CAMERA JAPAN created quite a buzz. There was a long queue before the lecture, and the 200+ seating auditorium was packed to its full capacity.

The lecture itself was throughly entertaining. Brilliant works were presented and Sou's presentation was very honest, charming, relaxed... and unmistakably Japanese!!

After the lecture, Sou sold his new book "Primitive Future." With the bargain price of 10 Euro and him signing the books, they sold like pancakes and there was a scene of mini-chaos at the cafe. It was a very nice way to end the Rotterdam edition of CAMERA JAPAN 2008 indeed.

The main event of CAMERA JAPAN 2008 which took place in Rotterdam was a big success all the way from the official opening night on Sep.18th with a sold-out dance performance by UMEDA Hiroaki to the closing night with the fantastic electronic music performances by FourColor/Moskitoo/FilFla and another sold-out screening of Sword of the Strangers on Sep. 21st.

During the 4 day event at the venue Lantaren-Venster, we broke the attendance record and sold out many screenings, workshops and other events.

We hope that everyone who visited us had a great time and our big thank you goes to all the volunteers who worked hard to make this event possible and those who believed in us and supported us all this time.

We hope to bring you next year even more surprises and all the great things that you can only experience at CAMERA JAPAN!!
