DJ SNIFF(Takuro Mizuta LIPPIT) gelooft in de instrumentale autonomie van de draaitafel en het muzikale vakmanschap van de DJ. Hij is een turntableïst opererend op het vlak van de geïmproviseerde en experimentele muziek. Tijdens zijn studie kunstgeschiedenis en filosofie in Tokio, was hij al actief als DJ in de elektronische undergroundscene. Sinds 2005 is hij betrokken bij STEIM's (Studio voor Electro-Instrumentale Muziek in Amsterdam) R & D lab. Voor zijn DJ-set op CAMERA JAPAN zal DJ SNIFF zijn experimentele schoenen een keer thuis laten en speciaal voor ons tonen dat hij net zo goed een dansbare set van exclusieve electronica, hip-hop en house kan neerzetten.
DJ SNIFF (Takuro Mizuta LIPPIT) believes in the instrumental autonomy of the turntable and the musicianship of the DJ. He is a turntable musician working in the field of improvised and experimental music. While studying Art History and Philosophy in Tokyo, he was active as a DJ in the underground electronic music scene. Since 2005 he has been involved with STEIM's (Studio for Electro-Instrumental Music, Amsterdam) R&D lab. For his DJ set at CAMERA JAPAN he will leave his experimental shoes at home and prove his skills with a danceable set of exclusive electronica, hip-hop and house gems.

Florence BUJARD begon als DJ rond 1993 in kleine clubs en op privé feestjes. Sinds 1998 draait ze professioneel op een breed scala van locaties en evenementen zoals het Montreux Jazz Festival, of met haar vrienden van het gevierde Keulse KOMPAKT label. Altijd op zoek naar een goede sfeer en aan het surfen tussen klanken en ritmes, beschrijft ze haar stijl als deep electro neo disko pop sushi. Voor haar set op de openingsavond van CAMERA JAPAN 2009 zal ze samen met haar partner in crime Joëlle BACCHETTA, als visuele achtergrond een experimentele film gaan samenstellen van hun verschillende reizen door Japan.
Florence BUJARD started DJ-ing around 1993 in small clubs and private parties. Since 1998 she spins professionally at a wide array of venues and events such as the Montreux Jazz Festival or with her friends from Cologne's celebrated KOMPAKT label. Always looking for a good vibe and surfing between the sounds and rhythms, she describes her style as 'deep electro neo disko pop sushi'. For her set at the opening night of CAMERA JAPAN 2009 she will, together with her partner in crime Joëlle BACCHETTA, exclusively compile a backdrop of visuals taken during their various travels through Japan.
